Endorsements

I have been most fortunate to work with some tremendous athletes and coaches in my 20 years. Below are a few kind endorsements.

“In my time as an athlete playing for the Australian Men's hockey team the Kookaburras, I was very fortunate to work with Brendyn for 10 years. His professional approach to athletes and the sport, his planning of sessions, training blocks and recovery and his ability to challenge myself and the team where needed, lead to World Cup and Commonwealth Games success. For me personally, Brendyn was able to support my leadership of the team, my struggles through serious injuries and also how to get better after ultimate success with a calm, clear and reasonable point of view”.

“I would recommend Brendyn as highly as anyone I have worked with in my 15 years as a high performance athlete”.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Brendyn when I joined the Western Force in 2005 as the inaugural captain.  Although he was brand new to Union, it did not take long for Brendyn to incorporate and translate his own style and expertise into the strength and power programming that had our forward pack competitive at Super Rugby level within the first season under his control. Brendyn contributed significantly in developing future Wallabies such as Richard Brown, Ben McCalman, Pek Cowan, Matt Hodgson and David Pocock. He was instrumental in setting their physical development on the path which  underpinned their successful careers.”

“His greatest impact on my career was in my return from a serious shoulder injury which ruled me out the 2009 Wallabies Spring Tour of Europe.  Working one-on-one through injury, our relationship, both professionally and personally lifted and his thoroughness and attention to detail resulted in not only a successful shoulder rehab, but an enhanced physicality where I returned in peak condition for the Force and the Wallabies and eventually to the 2011 Rugby World Cup.”

“This period of time with Brendyn had an undeniable impact on the last 3 years of my career, where I was able to improve areas of my game often underutilised due to my own physical strength limitations. I finished my career in a far better physical state at the age of 34 than when I started my Wallabies career at 22. Had it not been for personal reasons, the work I had done with Brendyn over a focused 9 months period and the maintenance thereafter, I would most certainly have seen my career extend should I have wanted it to.”

“I could not recommend Brendyn more highly and need to highlight his capability in getting results with driven people. His ability to translate functionally physical development across sports was one of the highest capability I encountered across my career. I have to add, I did not enjoy many of the session he tortured me with…”

"Brendyn continues to be a valued colleague in the strength and conditioning profession. As an ASCA board member, I am always so very impressed to see the initiatives that 'BA' undertakes in Western Australia for the strength and conditioning community. He is a credit to those that work with him, and he is a credit to have as a colleague. I highly recommend him for his professional approach, and commitment. "
